Living abroad for over 17 years, I know how much we crave Thai food. We miss the flavors, the simplicity, and that homely feeling. When you finally taste something authentically Thai, it feels like flying straight back home—truly comforting.
What do we miss the most? น้ำพริก (chili paste). Making it yourself might be possible, but it’s not easy. Sometimes, you just long for that special recipe from your favorite spot back home. Oh, how much we miss it!
And then there are ขนมไทย (Thai desserts). Fresh, authentic Thai desserts are simply divine! Making them yourself takes so much time, effort, and patience. Sure, once in a while, you can DIY and share with friends, but let’s be real—not every dish is practical to make on your own. If only you could order them straight from Thailand—that would be amazing, right?
Ask any Thai person living abroad what they miss most. The first answer will always be family. The second? Thai food!
